About Me

My name is Kelley Rubio.

I'm a mom, a wife, a dog mom to Wallie and Pinkie, and someone who understands what it's like to fight for the life you want. I grew up in Glendale as the oldest of five, and life taught me early that nothing comes easy—but everything worth having is worth working for.

I joined the Army at 17, worked in military intelligence, and became a mom twice before my military career ended. Coming home to Phoenix as a single mom with two babies under two, I worked as a medical assistant in cardiology and nephrology while putting myself through college on the GI Bill. I had worked in a pediatric dental office in high school and loved it, so I fought my way through dental assisting school and then dental hygiene school—because I knew that's where I belonged.

For over 25 years, I've been in pediatric dentistry. I spent a decade in a high-volume practice where I fell in love with making kids feel safe and changing how they saw the dentist. But I also started seeing something that broke my heart: mouths getting smaller, kids who couldn't breathe through their noses, more braces, bigger tonsils, and teenagers losing wisdom teeth because there simply wasn't room. Then my nephew spent the night, and I heard him snoring in a way that sent chills down my spine. That moment changed everything.

Why You Can Trust Me

I didn't just take one course and call myself an expert. I've spent nine years building a private practice that now has two locations and a team of trained therapists from dental hygiene, speech pathology, occupational therapy, and lactation backgrounds. I've treated thousands of cases. I've trained with the best—IAOM, Buteyko Breathing, Myo Munchee, TMJD specialists, the Breathe Institute, TOTS, Upledger Craniosacral I and II, Gillespie Craniosacral Fascial, Barnes Myofascial, and Ehlers-Danlos ECHO mentorship.

I'm a natural leader who organized one of the recognized collaborative airway teams in Phoenix because I believe no one person has all the answers—but together, we can change lives. My background spans from being a Combat Life Saver in the Army to working in cardiology and nephrology to founding my own practice. I understand the medical complexities, the family struggles, and what it takes to get real results. I've lived the sleepless nights as a parent. I've seen the frustration in families who just want answers. And I've dedicated my life to being the guide they need.

Who I Am Today

I'm still that person who believes everyone deserves to breathe and sleep well. I'm still the oldest of five who learned to lead by doing. I'm an avid learner who never stops training because your families deserve the best. And yes, I might ask you what your favorite Taylor Swift song is—because connection matters, and I want to know you. I got you. That's not just something I say—it's a promise built on decades of experience, thousands of hours of training, and a heart that refuses to accept anything less than giving families the support they deserve.

So That's Me! Now Let's Talk About You…

I've shared my story because I want you to know I get it. I've been the overwhelmed parent. I've been the therapist searching for answers. And I've built The Myo Guide to be the support system I wish existed.

Where are you on your journey? Let me help you find your next step.
